The mission of the Men’s Ministry at Calvary Chapel’s New Harvest is that through the power of the Holy Spirit, and the study of God’s Word, we would fulfill the great commission given to us in Matthew 28:18-20:
18And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.
The purpose of meeting together will be mainly to study the Word of God, to build one another up in the faith, to hold each other accountable, to pray for one another’s needs and encourage one another through fellowship to continue steadfast in our Christian faith.
Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching. (Hebrews 10:22-25)
It is the desire of this leadership to equip and strengthen men in their faith through the power of the Holy Spirit and through the study of God’s Word so that they may become Godly Men, husbands and fathers, so that they will become the spiritual leaders of their homes and church and be an influence at their work places and communities.
Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith. (Galatians 6:9-10)
